what to expect
your comfort comes first. we start with a call, then a warm-up so you can settle in. bring music or a friend to cheer you on, or rock solo. i always ask before touching your hair, clothes, or accessories. i photograph people of all ages, sizes, shades, and abilities, and i’m happy to talk through how you want to be represented, what your past portrait experiences are, and how we can make this the most fun & affirming process possible.
why portraits
i started making portraits ten years ago on my high school yearbook team, and i’m still fascinated by people and how we express ourselves. portraiture is a unique tool for exploring our self identity and perception and honors the version of you right now, exactly as you are, in your full beauty & selfhood. my favorite part of portraiture is how empowered and seen my clients feel during and after the gallery deliver — that’s what its all about.
